itsmybus Community Profile - Rt. 1 My favorite bus route? Let’s see…where do I start? When I want to feel like a visitor in my own town, I just ride Metro’s Rt. 1. It goes from the Cincinnati Museum Center at Union Terminal through downtown to Mt. Adams and on to the Zoo. And in between, it passes by (or within walking distance of) just about every important cultural and historical destination in Cincinnati. It serves Music Hall, the Duke Energy convention center, all the downtown hotels, the Taft Museum, Taft Theater, Eden Park and the Art Museum, plus it stops close to the Center for Contemporary Art, the National Underground Railroad Freedom Center, Paul Brown Stadium, Great American Ball Park, U.S. Bank Arena and Sawyer Point and all the other riverfront parks. You can also see great examples of architecture like City Hall. The bus runs about every hour seven days a week, but best of all, the fare is only $1. I like to get on and ride down to the river during lunch on weekdays. And it’s cool seeing all the out-of-town visitors riding with me. It’s like taking a mini-vacation. So the next time you need something to do, try Metro’s Rt. 1. Maybe I’ll see you there. View the Rt.1 Map by clicking HERE.
Itsmybus Community Profile - Metro's Boo Bus
Itsmybus Community Profile - UC area
I’m a student at University of Cincinnati and my friends and I love riding Metro. We ride downtown to eat or see a ballgame. Or out to a mall to go shopping. Or sometimes we visit friends and just hang out. There’s just about no place we can’t go on the bus. There are nine Metro routes that serve UC directly and stops are located all around campus. As a student, it saves me money, plus it’s good for the environment. In fact, I read somewhere that one person riding the bus for a year instead of driving takes more than 100 pounds of pollutants out of our atmosphere. And thanks to UC and the Student Government, all students and faculty can ride Metro free; not just to class but anywhere Metro goes! If I wasn’t already a Metro rider, I’d become one – that’s a great deal! Metro is my bus because it’s nice to know I’m doing something good for the world while I’m doing something good for myself.
Itsmybus Community Profile - NKU area
I am an NKU student, studying graphics and my bus is the #25 Alexandria. The best thing about “my bus” is that now I get to ride it for free! It’s easy with the U-Pass program -- there are no forms to fill out or paper work to sign all I have to do is show my NKU All-Card to the driver when I get on the bus, then sit back and enjoy the ride. I’m able to do the green thing not only for the environment but also for my pocket.
itsmybus Community Profile - Rt. 71 Express
And now a good thing just got better – when traffic is backed up on I-71, Metro buses can use the left shoulder lane. I tell you, we all cheered the first time the driver moved over. You should have seen the looks on the faces of the drivers in the cars as we passed them by. Like the commercial says, “Priceless.” That’s why the Rt. 71x is my bus.
itsmybus Community Profile - Southbank Shuttle
TANK’s Southbank Shuttle allows me to connect to some of the hottest spots around. I can catch a game in Cincinnati, watch a movie at Newport on The Levee and have dinner in Covington. The route begins in Covington in front of Goebel Park in the Main Strasse Village, winding its way through the river cities of Covington, Cincinnati and Newport, ending in Bellevue. The Southbank Shuttle serves the Northern Kentucky Convention Center, all the hotels that line the riverfront (including those in Cincinnati), the Newport Aquarium, National Underground Railroad Freedom Center, Paul Brown Stadium, Great American Ball Park, and U.S. Bank Arena just to name a few. The Southbank allows me to really see what this area has to offer. The Southbank runs every 15 minutes and only costs $1.25 to ride. What a great way to get around -- don’t miss the bus!
itsmybus Community Profile - Airport Express
I live in Cincinnati and work in a fast-paced business where time and money make a difference! I travel frequently for work so convenience is important to me. After years of getting a ride or booking a taxicab that cost me a small fortune, all I do now is hop on the bus and let TANK do the work. How do you get to the airport when traveling on vacation or going on a business trip? I take TANK’s Airport Express and for only a $1.50 it takes me directly to the airport terminal without stopping. I don’t have to go through the hassle of paying high airport parking costs, or feeling stressed about a business trip or vacation because I have to organize transportation to and from the airport. When I use TANK, in less than half an hour I have arrived at the airport. TANK’s Airport Express connects with all TANK’s routes at the Covington Transit Center and in downtown Cincinnati then heads directly to the airport without stopping, dropping you off at the terminal of your choice. Why not try it? Follow my lead – take the Airport Express!
itsmybus Community Profile - #1 Florence My bus is the #1 Florence bus. I catch it every morning to go to work and on the weekends to go shopping, to the movies and wherever I need to go. I live on Dixie Highway and taking the bus is so convenient that I don’t own a car -- I spend my money on trips to the mall instead!
